What’s the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
“Make each day count” – I even have this phrase tattooed on me. Someone once told me that we’re always moving forward or planning ahead, rarely stopping to appreciate the present moment. So, savor the here and now, and find joy in every experience.
If you had to teach a class one thing, what would you teach?
I would teach ‘How to Own Your Self-Worth.’ In a world where constant comparison to others diminishes our unique beauty and value, it’s crucial to recognise and embrace our own worth.
If you could remove one task from your daily routine, what would it be and why?
Emails, my goodness, we receive so many of them—it’s relentless!
What’s the one thing you always include in your daily routine?
My very first morning coffee, made by my husband, I might add!
Tell us about your favourite interior design scheme…
Creating amazing showhomes allows us to live out our interior design fantasies which is a gift in itself. However, my own interior love is Moroccan design. I adore all the colours, warmth and textures as well as the rustic style that their ceramics and metals are produced in. In lockdown I finally got to realise my dream of having my own Moroccan inspired bathroom, complete with a handmade sink, this is my sanctuary.
What is your favourite design era?
I adore Mid Century Modern; it’s a timeless style, exuding chicness and easily adaptable to contemporary interiors. Adding funky elements injects drama, helping one to stand out.
Describe yourself in three words?
Loud, passionate and caring.
What is your favourite possession and why?
My hearing aids, I am deaf and without them I would not function, they make me unique and I love them.
